All-in-one switching and protection module for high-voltage batteries

HVB10

The HVB10 combines switching and protection functions in a single device. This reduces the number of components required in the system. The electromechanical design ensures a high level of functional safety and enables automatic shutdown at defined current levels.

In operation, the HVB10 impresses with extremely fast trip times due to levitation effects. The reaction rate therefore increases proportionally with the level of the short-circuit current. With performance data of up to 340 A continuous current at DC 850 V and a tripping performance of well over 20 kA, the module ensures reliable protection.

Custom designed power distribution solutions

HV-PDU

The HV-PDU power distribution system distributes electrical energy from the high-voltage battery or fuel cell connections to consumers. In the case of regenerative braking, it also enables recirculation from the motor to the battery. The HV-PDU reliably protects the connected high-voltage cables against short circuits, thus ensuring maximum operational safety.

Consistent diagnostic capability included: measurement of insulation resistances, current and voltage at relevant interfaces — and transmission of all values via CAN bus. This supports predictive maintenance, increases availability and simplifies installation, maintenance and system integration
